The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) is currently seeking a new Communications Assistant, to be based at its Secretariat in Copenhagen, Denmark.
ICES is an intergovernmental organization that develops science, advice, and related data products to support the sustainable use of the oceans. Our communications team plays an essential role in keeping the scientific network and stakeholders informed of the organization’s latest activities.

The contract period for this position is 4 years and the preferred start date is 2 October 2017.
ICES Secretariat staff enjoy privileges and immunities pursuant to the Host Agreement between the Government of Denmark and ICES. The salaries of ICES staff are exempt from Danish income tax and are based on, but not identical to, UN grade scales. A pension scheme and supplemental insurance plan are offered as part of the remuneration package.
